Dear Father,<\/p>\n
Yet again I seem to have let over a month go by without writing here.\u00a0 I wish I was better at finding the time because I find myself going back over these and thinking of all the blessings You’ve given me.<\/p>\n
This month was full of them.<\/p>\n
I mentioned July 31st\/August 1st before.\u00a0 That was great!\u00a0 OK, so maybe it was a little worrisome at first.\u00a0 Creeped Laja and Rose out for a minute.\u00a0 Then I thought maybe they’d lost their minds!\u00a0 And all because I apparently have more names than a phone book.\u00a0 It was a great night and then working with everyone to repair the storm damage on the 1st made for a wonderful day.<\/p>\n
A week later Laja confided in me about Amy.\u00a0 I couldn’t have guessed the road that would have ended up taking us down.<\/p>\n
That was also when I was assigned to Rebecca, the choir leader is Bismark.\u00a0 I don’t think I’ll ever forget her face when she heard our choir and joined in!<\/p>\n
I’m still thinking about Benton.\u00a0 I wish I could be sure I got through to him, Father.\u00a0 You and I both know he’s headed down a bad path with his drug use but… I didn’t know what else I could say.<\/p>\n
Thank You for the encouraging, love-filled assignments You gave me after that.\u00a0 I needed them.\u00a0 Maybe even more than they needed me.<\/p>\n
Let’s see…\u00a0 I think it was the 14th a bunch of us saw Eli as Lumiere in “Beauty and the Beast.”\u00a0 I had no idea my fellow AOD was that talented!\u00a0 Between that and the road trip there and back, it was definitely a highlight of the month.\u00a0 Thank You for giving him an assignment that made him so happy.\u00a0 I was concerned about him for a while after Sophia died.<\/p>\n
I hear someone at the door.\u00a0 I guess the middle of the month is a good place to pause.<\/p>\n
